Hi, my name is Giarne, and I’m a proud late identified Autistic and ADHD (AuDHDer) and Occupational Therapist.

I always knew I wanted to be an Occupational Therapist - a profession that combined science, health, creativity and problem solving - it was a perfect fit!

I graduated in 2013 and have had the privilege of working with people from all walks and stages of life. One of the things I love the most about OT is that no matter your age, stage, illness or injury, it’s what matters most to people that we focus on, what a privilege.

I am proud to be a clinician with lived experience as I believe it has made me better at my job. I may not know what it’s like to walk in your shoes, but I do know what it feels like to lose my independence, or feel like I didn’t fit.

You deserve to feel seen, heard and understood by the people who work with you.

While I do continue to see a small handful of clients, I have transitioned much of my work to supporting Neurodivergent folk in Business, disability advocacy and workplace and community training. I truly believe that ND folk have so much magic to offer the world and I want to see that magic come to life.
